Articulate'
Marusu Bontoa in History
History, according to EHCarr, is a
continuous interaction between the historian (or whoever is conducting a study
of history) to the facts of its past. Thus history is a kind of "dialogue
process" continuously between historians or history enthusiast who lives
in the present with events or actors - actors past events. (Asvi Warman Adam,
2004: 113 in Wardaya, 2007: 15). The writing of history, the pressure is not
just in "what actually happened in the past", but also on how we are
all historians or "dialogue" with the facts of the past that. That is
why it is often said to be the writing of history must continue to be made and
each generation needs to write its own history. Understood in this way is not
only about the history of past affairs, but also closely related to the
present, and then the future. (Makkulau, 2008).
Understanding the history in this
way, the author ventured to present the facts - the facts of the past, as a
"dialogue" or "articulate" History Kekaraengan Bontoa as an
integral part of the Regional History Marusu '. In the historical context of
South Sulawesi, Bontoa is a political force of the local economy who
participated in a large wave expansion of the Kingdom of Gowa to the north
since the reign Karaeng Tunipalangga. King of Gowa X is what I ordered
Mannyarang, son of I Daeng Pasiri Mangngasi Karaeng Labbua Ropes Bannangna,
Karaeng Bangkala III of his wife I Daeng Takammu Karaeng Bili 'Tangngayya to be
Karaeng maggau' in the region.
In this book, "the process of
dialogue" with the facts presented by the past, regarding the history and
genealogy kekaraengan Bontoa since Kekaraengan Bontoa established by I
Mannyarang (Karaeng Bontoa I) until Andi Muhammad Yusuf Mangngawing Daeng
(Karaeng Bontoa once Karaeng Bontoa last XXII), the complexity of the
historical background in relation to color genealogy with Kedatuan Luwu, White
Tanete, United Bangkala (Jeneponto), Kasombanga ri Gowa, Bone and ri Mangkaue
Bontoa own kinship with Toddo Limayya Marusu ri ', namely, Marusu', Simbang and
Tanralili, Lau . Surely effort 'articulate' Bontoa history in the context of
Regional History Marusu 'would be wise if we all want to admit the presence of
Lineage Randji Regent Bontoa posts JAB van van de Broor (1928) as the fact is
overlooked and forgotten over the years. Although reveals a different side, but
at least many parts of the pedigree which has become a bright spot Toddo
history disclosure efforts Limayya Marusu ri 'other. To that end, the authors
are expecting "dialogue process" to be continued so that we all did
not sink into the darkness of history.
Hopefully this simple work can be beneficial existence. Respectfully.
